Viva la Gauchos! Argentina remain the biggest surprise of this World Championship. After the draw against Korea, the Southern Americans take now their first great victory. With three points on their account the gauchos are in good position for the Main Round - as the race seems to be highly tough for the Slovaks after three defeats. After Slovakia was leading most of the first 35 minutes closely the match turned. Five straight goals from 9:10 to 14:9 meant a small cushion for the Argentines, and the Slovaks couldn’t return anymore, as they missed too many chances. The Argentine defense stood like a wall – and the gauchos pre-decided the game in minute 56 when Andres Kogovsek scored the 22:16. Even a time-out three minutes earlier couldn’t save the defense and offense weak Slovaks from this defeat. Federico Fernadez was the top scorer for Argentina with nine goals, aside goalkeeper Mathias Schulz saved 17 shots to secure this sensation.
